Footage Credits

Footage credits are used to request video clips from your dash cameras. Each credit lets you retrieve one clip. You can buy credits in advance at a reduced rate, or pay for individual clips as you go.

What are footage credits?

When you request a clip — for example, to review a specific incident — one credit is used from your balance. Credits are purchased upfront and stay in your account until they are needed.

If your balance reaches zero, you can still request footage. Individual clips will be charged at a higher pay-as-you-go rate until you top up.

Viewing your credit balance

  1. Go to the Dash Cameras section in the main menu.
  2. Select Footage Retrieval.
  3. Open the Credits section.

Your current balance and available packages will be displayed on screen.

Buying footage credits

Credits are sold in bundles. Larger bundles work out cheaper per clip.

  1. Go to the Credits section within Footage Retrieval.
  2. Review the available packages. Each one shows:
    • How many clips are included
    • The total price
    • The cost per clip
    • How many you have left from any previous purchase of that package
  3. Click Purchase on the package you want.
  4. Confirm the purchase. Payment is taken automatically.

info

Credits do not expire. Any unused credits will stay in your account balance until you use them.

How credits are used

Each time you submit a footage request, one credit is deducted from your balance. If you have bought more than one bundle, credits are drawn from the oldest purchase first.

For step-by-step instructions on requesting footage, see Footage Retrieval.

Limits

  • Each footage clip can cover a maximum of 10 minutes of recording.
  • You can select specific cameras within a clip request if you only need footage from certain angles.

Common problems

My balance is not updating after a purchase.
It may take a moment to refresh. Reload the page and check again. If the balance still has not updated after a few minutes, contact support.

I want to use pay-as-you-go instead of a bundle.
You do not need to do anything. Once your credit balance reaches zero, clip requests are automatically charged individually at the pay-as-you-go rate.

I am unsure how many credits I need.
A rough guide: one credit per incident you expect to review. If you regularly pull clips for driver coaching or insurance purposes, a larger bundle will work out more economical.
